Theresa Rothenbücher
Theresa studied biotechnology with the goal of making a positive impact on the world. Her academic journey led her to a PhD in tissue engineering, where she worked on developing human brain models. However, Theresa already started feeling the urge to use her knowledge and skills to tackle the climate crisis. This drive led her to co-found Revo Foods, a startup developing 3D-printed, plant-based seafood alternatives. After that, Theresa joined BioCraft as Chief Product Officer, developing cultivated meat for pet food - another step toward removing animals from the supply chain and more sustainable food system. Most recently, she founded her own biotech consultancy to bridge the gap between groundbreaking startups developing sustainable and regenerative technologies and the investors who can help bring them to scale. Her focus is on technical due diligence and advising technical founders, ensuring innovations are both investment-ready and set up for long-term success. Originally from Germany, she lived in several European countries and recently settled on the Swedish West Coast, where Theresa enjoys freediving and long forest walks with her dog, Alva.
